DLSA Reasi holds awareness program on Mental Health
REASI: District Legal Services Authority Reasi, today organized an Awareness Program in collaboration with the Health Department to mark Mental Health Day.
The event was held under the aegis of NALSA and JKLSA and in compliance with the Action plan issued by JKLSA under PAN India Awareness and Outreach Campaign and under the guidance and Supervision of DLSA Chairman R.N.Watal,
Secretary DLSA Reasi, Rekha Kapoor Nischal, delivered the welcome address. Dr. Anjum Ara from MCH Reasi and the resource person discussed in detail the ways to maintain good mental health, the symptoms of mental illness and how persons with mental ill health can lead peaceful and productive lives by getting treatment and with love and support of family members.
The awareness program was attended by Dr Saleem Khan, BMO Reasi, senior as well as junior members of District Bar Association Reasi, PLVs and Staff Members of DLSA Reasi and also the litigants who attended the Court.
The purpose of conducting this Awareness Program was to sensitize the participants about the importance of good Mental Health, particularly amid the Corona pandemic.
At the end of the program an interactive session was also conducted by Secretary DLSA Reasi between the participants and the resource person.
The proceedings of the Program were conducted by Panel Advocate, Ajay Salalia, while senior Advocate V K Sharma delivered vote of thanks.
