Doda NGOs asked to furnish funding details, register on DARPAN portal

DODA: District Development Commissioner, Vishesh Mahajan presided over a meeting with NGOs, trusts and social organisations operating in the district to discuss their activities and sources of funding. The meeting was attended by 45 such organisations, represented by their heads and representatives.

During the meeting, the DDC emphasised the importance of transparency and accountability. He urged organisations to provide details of their activities and sources of funding and directed them to register on the central government’s DARPAN portal for better coordination. Mahajan also stressed the importance of conducting an audit of funding for the past three years and directed organisations to display signboards in their offices and vehicles used for social activities.

The meeting was attended by top officials, including Senior Superintendent of Police, Abdul Qayoom; Additional District Commissioner Doda, Dr RK Bharti and Chief Planning Officer Suresh Kumar.
