DYSS deptt Kishtwar holds IPBL Kabaddi tournament

KISHTWAR : District Youth Services and Sports department, in collaboration with Social welfare department organized Kabaddi tournament for U/17 boys and girls here under the Sansad Khel Spardha and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.

The event was held under the leadership of District Development Commissioner, Ashok Kumar Sharma.

Teams registered with the Department of Youth Services & Sports from different Panchayats participated in the tournament at block Kishtwar & Drabshala.

“The aim of organising sports events at Panchayat level is to identify potential players and the initiative is being led by Union Minister and Member Parliament Dr Jatinder Singh,” said DYSSO Kishtwar Kharati Lal Sharma, the chief guest of the occasion.

The Chief Guest, in his speech, highlighted the benefits of sports, and advised youth to stay away from drugs and other bad habits.
