Kishtwar : As a part of ongoing ‘Good Governance Week’ campaign, Deputy commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today launched eight Online Revenue services .

Additional District Development Commissioner, Sham Lal and Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kishori Lal Sharma were also present on the occasion.

The Deputy Commissioner informed that the initiative of online delivery of eight revenue services has been rolled out in the district on the direction of LG of Jammu and Kashmir UT.

Under the initiative, eight revenue services including issuance of income certificate, EWS Certificate, Marriage Certificate, OBC/RBA/ALC Certificate, SC/ST Certificate, Dependent Certificate, Legal Heir Certificate and character certificate shall be provided online from now onwards.

He informed that people can log on to service online.gov.in/Jammu/ and obtain various certificates.

The Deputy Commissioner asked the revenue officers to play proactive role for implementing the basic indicator of Good Governance.

He also informed that 709 applications have been received so far on the Kaushal Pehchan Application across the district from aspiring youth seeking job in various Hydro Electric Power Projects.

He said these initiative will help the district Administration to reach out to the people at their door step through online mode.

It will ease the hardships of the people who had to visit offices regularly to get these certificates. He said the applicants can now apply online without physically visiting the office.

The DC said the initiative was launched as part of “Good Governance Week” as it provides us an opportunity to march rapidly to create a transparent and efficient Public Delivery System and to further improve governance.

He emphasized upon all district officers to set examples for other people by focusing on what good can be done for the welfare and benefit of people. He stressed the need for abiding by broader guidelines laid under the initiative of Good Governance.
