Employers Fair for the Institute of History, Political and Social Sciences
The PetrSU Career Center organized a meeting with employers in a dialogue format for students and graduates of IIPSN.
On May 26, the Employers’ Fair was held at the PetrSU Youth Innopark, which received a great response from employers.
The following organizations took part in the event: the Development Corporation of the Republic of Karelia, the Karelian Resource Center of Public Organizations, the Center for Social Work of the Republic of Karelia, the Complex Center for Social Services for the Population of the Republic of Karelia, the Petrozavodsk Boarding House for Veterans, the Republican Social Rehabilitation Center for Minors “Vozrozhdenie”, Center for helping children left without parental care “Nadezhda”, the Karelian resource center for the development of social technologies, the Employment Agency of Petrozavodsk, the National Museum of the Republic of Karelia.
Representatives of employers spoke in more detail about the specifics of the work of their institution, the possibility of internship, working conditions and specialists in demand. Social services of the Republic of Karelia are already waiting for social work specialists and psychologists to work. Graduates who speak foreign languages are ready to offer participation in international projects. Salary depends on the workload and activity of the specialist himself.
Representatives of the AZN of Petrozavodsk introduced the participants of the Fair to the all-Russian database of vacancies – the portal “Work in Russia”, provided consulting support on issues of contacting employment services. The Development Corporation of the Republic of Karelia offers information support in matters of individual entrepreneurship and business development, and also provides free coworking space for young entrepreneurs. The National Museum of the Republic of Karelia invites creative people to its team to organize and conduct excursion programs.
Students of the Institute of History, Political and Social Sciences asked employers questions about salaries, the possibility of combining work and study in the magistracy, the mentoring system and in-demand competencies.
