EO Gurgaon announces winning “Studentpreneurs” for Global Student Entrepreneurship Award

Gurugram : Entrepreneur’s Organisation Gurgaon announced the winners of the Global Student Entrepreneurship Award (GSEA), a premier global competition for students who own and operate a business, at the final event held at the Master’s Union School of Business, Gurugram. The finals saw around 10 “Studetpreneurs” competing against each other, pitching innovative ideas, products and business models that could be the turning point of businesses worldwide.

 

A jury of well-renowned entrepreneurs from diverse segments announced Anmol Mittal for his start-up Amal as the winner of the competition and recipient of a cash prize of 1.5 lakh rupees for their innovation in AgriTech. Amal’s stimulating idea and proactive business model affirmed that young minds could transform the world with just their ignited minds. The runner-up position was accorded to the start-up Chirag and his team for developing and distributing drones to farmers for precision spraying. The runner-up team was also awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

 

The winners shortlisted at this event will further go on to represent the Gurgaon chapter of EO at the South Asian finals.

 

The finals showcased some of the most ingenious young minds with ideas set in various fields of education, coding, agritech, and even social media, seeding the ideas of some up-and-coming startups and entrepreneurial ventures.

At its commencement, the 4th edition of the GESA received over 1400 student nominations from across the country, of which 12 qualified for the semifinals to present their conceived ideas at the finals.

 

Key personalities such as Sreevats Jaipuria, Vice Chairman, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ankhi Das, Co-Founder & General Partner, Ankurit Capital, Harsh Binani, Co-Founder Smartworks, Pratham Mittal, Founder, Master’s Union, and Varun Gupta, Director, Boult Audio Private Limited were the esteemed jury for the event.

Though only the winners were awarded a cash prize, the other innovations and entrepreneurial aspirations did not go unnoticed.” We Move”, with their incubated idea of the world’s first AI-built wheelchair-mounted robotic, was viewed by the many present as inspiring and having abundant potential.

 

EO Gurgaon is a unique forum that allows entrepreneurs a safe space to share their challenges with their peers and learn from each other.
