Exceptional performance of 1100 students acknowledged at the convocation ceremony of Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University
Ahmedabad : Swarrnim Start-UP & Innovation University, India’s knowledge hub where disciplines like Technology, Design, Science, Business and Management, Health Science, and Agriculture among other streams are taught with value enhancement through innovation, startup and entrepreneurship, organized their degree convocation ceremony for students, at their campus on the 31st of May 2022. Total 1100 students across practices and batches were conferred with a degree. Gold medals were awarded to the university topper and four Institute toppers. Swarrnim becomes the first university to felicitate the startups, and research projects of students & faculty for their commendable achievements, at the convocation ceremony. Gold medals were awarded to startups, under the category, ‘Best Faculty award for Startup,’ ‘Best Faculty award for Research Project’ and ‘Best Faculty award for Research Publication.’
The ceremony was followed by the unveiling of Faculty-Student startup project ‘Swarrnim E-Ride,’ in the presence of Guest of Honour Shri Shambhuji Thakor, MLA Gandhinagar South, Distinguished Guest – Shri Rannvijay Singha, a well known actor & youth Icon, Shri Rishabh Jain, Founder & President of Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University and Shri Adi Jain, Vice President, Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University.
Speaking at the convocation ceremony, Shri Rishabh Jain, Founder & President of Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University said, “At Swarrnim University, we encourage our students to think out of the box and be creative problem solvers. We believe this to be a crucial skill for the advancement and well-being of existing and future generations. Here, we equip our students with the right knowledge and skills, which when combined with their perseverance, hard work and empathy for others can help them in achieving their life’s purpose and dreams.”
Shri Jitubhai Vaghani, Cabinet Minister of Education, Science & Technology, Govt. of Gujarat sent his best wishes on the occasion of 3rd degree convocation of Swarrnim Start-Up & Innovation University.
While interacting with students Shri Rannvijay Singha, youth icon and a well-known Actor, said, “India needs more young innovative minds to take the reins and lead to give the world the best innovations of our times . I am glad to be part of the convocation for the young innovative students of the Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University. It’s thrilling to find that startups now need not depend on the available resources, but with the help of universities like Swarrnim they can innovate for better success.”
The E-bicycle under the project “Swarrnim E- Ride” developed by Prof. Jitendra Prajapati and Dr. Gunjan Yadav serves the cause of environmental sustainability and economic benefit to the society and is the most optimum solution for transportation. The developed prototype of the E-bicycle can travel up to 30 kms in one full charge with an approximate charging time of 2 to 2:30 hours. The maximum speed capacity of the E-bicycle is 35 Km/hour, and it works in hybrid mode, both with and without pedals.
Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University is committed to serving the community and has entered into several MoUs with the Government of Gujarat for several initiatives. Swarrnim is not just instrumental in creating entrepreneurs but also their students have been placed in top-notch organizations of country & world. The Incubation cell of Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University has fostered qualitative startup by providing mentorship, funding, co-working space, patent support, legal support, research & lab facilities, marketing, and branding Support.
The convocation celebrated the determination and hard work of Swarrnim’s fresh graduates and applauded the constant grit and dedication displayed by them towards achieving new possibilities. Towards the end of the convocation ceremony, Swarrnim University students took an oath for the advancement of the society and to be committed towards the progress of the nation without compromising on morals and ethics.
