Extend last date for research, fellwoships projects for 6 months : Governor Tandon
Bhopal : Governor Shri Lalji Tandon has asked University Grants Commission to extend the sponsered projects by six months. He said that Covid-19 lockdown has affected activities of universities. In such circumstances, to follow the determined time limitations of the utilization certificate of the sporsered projects is not justified. The commission should extend its time limit of all sponsered projects by six months.
Secretary to Governor Shri Manohar Dubey said that research projects, fellowship, chair and other developmental programmes are being run in various universities of the state from the grant provided by University Grants Commission. Due to Covid-19 situation the last dates for all the programmes can not be followed. In universities academic and development activities are affected. The Governor has thus asked the commission to extend the last date of the utilization certificate for various projects, fellowship and schemes for atleast six months. He has also asked UGC to give necessary instruction pertaning to this to all the universities.
