Farewell parties at AMU Girls School

 

Aligarh : Winners donned Ms Farewell sashes and received bouquets, certificates and mementoes as teachers and students of other classes bid adieu to the Class X and XII students in two separate farewell parties at the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Girls School.

Aairah Khan was declared Ms Farewell among Class XII students, while Amna Rahat won the contest in the Class X category.

Dania Sajid and Rutba Azeem finished second and third respectively in the Class XII competition, which also had Khushnuma as the Ms Decent and Rifa Husain as the Ms Gorgeous.

Hira Riyaz and Aiman Zoha stood second and third respectively in the Class X contest with Nadia Raees as the Ms Decent and Adeeba Asif as the Ms Gorgeous.

Speaking to Class XII and X students in the farewell parties, Amna Malik (School Principal) said: “Your teachers have done their best to envisage an all around and balanced education based on sound intellectual, physical, moral and social formation. We have laid a special stress on your personality development and character formation and it is hoped that whatever you have learned from this school will enable you to stand in good stead in every situation. It will guide and make your life successful and happy”.

The respective Chief Guests for the Class XII and X functions, Zarifshan Azeem and Nishat Fatima with Guests of Honour, Sudha Saraswat and Farhath Farman; Special Guests, Zareena Begum, Ayesha Waseem and Rakshi Zafar Khan and Judges, Fauzia Zafar Khan, Ayesha, Adeeb Aijaz and Zeba Khan urged the students to embrace a bright future and pursue studies in the areas of their interests.

Class XII and X students also participated in cultural activities including self-composed poetry contests.
