Financial inclusion camp held at Thopal, Batote

Batote: To promote Financial Literacy in rural areas of the district, A Financial Literacy awareness camp in collaboration with NABARD was organised by the Department of India Posts at Panchayat Ghar Thopal, Batote here today.
The camp was organized under the supervision of SDI Batote Sub-Division, Surinder Sharma in coordination with district administration.
The main focus of the camp was to encourage villagers to open the account under Sukanya Samridhi, a flagship scheme which was launched by PM on January, 22, 2015 from Panipat in Haryana.
During the camp, the villagers opened their saving and recurring accounts for U 10 year girl child under Sukanya Samridhi Account Scheme (SSAS).
During the camp Branch Manager, Amit Sharma, and Assistant Manager Rakesh Singh Katal motivated the villagers including local Sarpanches and Panches for digital banking and postal services like Aeps, Sukanya Samridhi Account Scheme, PPF, RD Accounts, Merchant Banking and Bill payments through India Postal Payment Bank (IPPB) Mobile App
The IPPB is utilizing its national network of more than 1.36 lakh access points in Post Offices and more than 1.90 Postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks with smart phones and biometric devices to provide Doorstep Banking Services.
Similar camps were also organised at Bhartund Rajgarh and Hochak Ramsu and during the camps a total of 200 villagers opened their savings bank accounts and 35 SSAS accounts.
