Fit India campaign: PD&SJ flags-off marathon at Court Complex Kupwara

 

KUPWARA : The Principal, District & Sessions Judge (PD&SJ) Kupwara, Tasleem Arief today flagged-off a marathon run under ‘Fit India Campaign’ from District Court Complex (DCC) here.

The marathon was organized by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kupwara in collaboration with Youth Services & Sport Department and Cultural Wing of Education Department Kupwara.

Around 50 students from BHSS Kupwara participated in the marathon which started from District Court Complex Kupwara and navigated via Kupwara town to Lolab Gate Zangli and culminated back at DCC here.

Meanwhile, a felicitation ceremony was also held by DLSA in the Court Complex in which top 3 winners were awarded with mementos. The Ist position was bagged by Sahil Ahmad Dar of Class 11th, Peerzada Aakil of class 11th got 2nd position and Adnan Afzal Mir of Class 10th got 3rd position.

Speaking on the occasion, Secretary DLSA said that the objective of conducting a marathon is to take the Fit India Campaign forward which is a 6 week programme and will conclude on November 14, this year.

He said during the campaign various activities will be held in schools, colleges and in consultation with other departments.
