Football ‘Talent Hunt Camp’ concludes at Khelgaon
JAMMU : The week-long ‘Talent Hunt Camp’ organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Sports Saviours Football Club (SSFC) with the support Sports and Social Welfare Trust and Sports line for young Football enthusiasts of rural pocket concluded yesterday on a positive note here at the only synthetic turf of upcoming Khelgaon, Nagrota on the outskirts of Jammu City.
Around 100 young boys and girls, including those from district Udhampur learned the basics from widely travelled and international footballer Arun Malhotra.
At the end of this successful event, the promising young boys and girls were encouraged by the organisers presenting them the sports stuff gifts. The host Club SSFC also presented 10 footballs to Nagrotra Football Club convenor, Narinder Singh as a token of their support in making the event memorable.
On the occasion, Assistant Commissioner General Jammu (ACG), Rakesh Dubey encouraged young footballers and advised Arun Malhotra to continue with his zeal and passion to train and guide the young raw talent in J&K.
The ACG was also explained about the present status and expansion plans of the Khelgoan by district officer (DYSS), Sukhdev Raj Sharma in the presence of other distinguished gathering.
During the camp, Arun was assisted by the technical team including Vishal Bandral, Nikita, Khushboo, Tillu Kumar, Ramesh Sharma, Vinay Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Dushyant Sharma, Narinder Kumar, Sham Lal, Arun Nagyal, Gagandeep Singh, Gourav, Vishal Bhardwaj, Ricky Sharma and Sandeep Sharma.
Important to mention here that, the upcoming Khelgaon, Nagrota in Jammu is being developed into a sports hub by the Department of Youth Services and Sports.
