Gandhi Jayanti celebrated by government schools across District Rajouri

RAJOURI: Series of events like cleanliness drives, awareness campaigns, lectures, debates and Swatchhta pledges were organised by the students and staff members in the government schools across District Rajouri in due observance of COVID SOPs to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti.

Besides, this a mega function was also organised in Government Boys Higher Secondary School Rajouri in which the Chief Education Officer, Gulzar Hussain was the chief guest.

Chief Education Officer Rajouri, Gulzar Hussain and Principal BHSS, Rakesh Sharma paid rich tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bhadhur Shastri and highlighted their role and sacrifices.

The CEO appreciated the role played by the teaching community and other officials of the education department during the COVID 19 pandemic and felicitated them with appreciation certificates.

The programme concluded with the formal vote of thank by Principals BHSS Rajouri.
