Gannon University: Gannon Ranked as a Top National University by U.S. News & World Report

Gannon University was again ranked as a national university for the fourth consecutive year, according to the U.S. News & World Report’s release of “2022-2023 America’s Best Colleges.”
U.S. News ranked Gannon 263rd out of 443 national universities. The university was ranked 227th out of 391 in the previous year’s report. National universities are those that offer a full range of undergraduate majors, in addition to master’s and doctoral programs, and emphasize faculty research or award professional practice doctorates.

The U.S. News & World Report also ranked Gannon in the following categories with recognitions for undergraduate nursing and engineering programs:
197th out of 439 for Social Mobility

U.S. News defined this category as focusing on institutions who are successful at advancing social mobility by enrolling and graduating large proportions of economically disadvantaged students who are awarded with Pell Grants and are considered less likely than others to finish college, even when controlling for other characteristics.

110th out of 230 for Best Undergraduate Engineering

Gannon’s engineering programs were recognized among the top in the nation for institutions that have ABET accredited programs and whose highest engineering degree offered is a bachelor’s or master’s.

571st out of 681 for Best Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Programs

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Gannon was deemed a top program by U.S. News and was ranked among institutions that have bachelor’s-level accreditation by either the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing and have recently awarded at least 40 BSN degrees.

Gannon University has continued to grow in academic offerings at both its Erie and Ruskin, Fla. campuses since its initial recognition as a national university in Fall 2019. Gannon has recently launched new programs across its campuses that include Communications Sciences and Disorders, Speech and Language Pathology, Applied Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Cyber Engineering and more.
