Gannon University: Schuster Re-Grant Initiative opens applications for community arts programs
The Gannon University Schuster Program for the Arts is proud to present the Schuster Re-Grant Initiative. The grant supports regional organizations through-youth based arts projects.
The awards are selected by a democratic committee composed of a university dean, an Erie arts community member and approximately three Schuster Patron of the Arts Scholarship recipients. This opportunity is facilitated by Lori Steadman, Schuster Gallery Director and Director for the Schuster Program for the Arts.
Steadman appreciates the program for its dimensionality, offering students the opportunity to “work in the community and with Gannon Administration to see how a grant is presented and awarded. Programs like ours open doors for the Schuster Patron of the Arts Scholars to witness projects grow from concept to reality through community arts funding.”
Previous Schuster Re-Grant funded projects include the Inner-City Neighborhood Art House’s Fiber Arts and Wearable Arts Project, which used ice-dying, relief printing and weaving.
