GCW Gandhinagar organises Salad Decoration, Poster Making competitions

JAMMU : NSS Units of Government P.G.College for Women, Gandhinagar today organised two events under the guidance and supervision of Principal Dr.Sangita Nagari to commemorate ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ on 28th of August 2021.

The first event was ‘Salad Decoration using tricolour vegetables and Fruits’ wherein 22 NSS Volunteers participated and showcased their creative talent.

The focus of this competition was not only the preparation of tricolour salads but also upon their artistic preparation which carried an aesthetic aspect of inculcating the feeling of patriotism. Nirmaljeet Kour, Shriya Kalla and Ritika Choudhary bagged First, Second and Third Position respectively.

The second event was Poster Making on theme-National Integration. Twenty volunteers made attractive posters. The aim of this event was to instill a sense of belongingness to the nation.

Dr. Sangita Nagari, Principal of the College applauded the volunteers for their participation and advised them to respect the Nation as they are the building blocks of New India. She also appreciated the efforts of NSS Programme Officers for organising these events successfully. The events were coordinated by NSS Programme officers-Prof. Mala Bhasin and Dr. Monika Hans.
