GDC Banihal hosts special lecture on “Heroes of Indian National Movement”

BANIHAL : The department of Political science, Government Degree College Banihal, in collaboration with the department of History organized a special lecture on the theme” Heroes of Indian National Movement” in the college Seminar hall.

The Programme started with an extensive lecture by Prof Mukhtar Ahmad Mir- HOD Political Science on the theme. In his presentation, Prof Mukhtar deliberated on the role of National Movement Heroes like Gandhi, Nehru, Bose, Azad and also stressed on the importance of preserving and commemorating the legacy of the National Movement Heroes.

Dr Bilal Ahmed Parrey, HOD department of History gave a historical account of India’s National Movement in his presentation. The event was attended by students of the college besides various faculty members of GDC Banihal. It is pertinent to mention that the said program was organized by the college to mark,” Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav.”
