GDC Ramban organises Cross Country Run

RAMBAN : Department of Sports and Physical Education, Government Degree College Ramban organized a Cross Country Run competition here today which was flagged off by the Principal of the college, Dr. Mohsin Bashir Dar in the presence of all teaching and non teaching staff of the college.

The run started from Maitra Chowk and concluded at Karol Bridge, covering a distance of 4 KM. Nearly hundred boys and girls participated in the marathon. The programme was coordinated by the Physical Director of the College, Ramandeep Kralia.

Later, Principal along with Prof. Satish Thakur and Prof. Kamaljeet distributed prizes among the participants who stood 1st , 2nd and 3rd in boys category namely Ranjeet Singh B.A sem 6th , Ravinder Kumar B.A 3rd Sem and Pritam Kumar B.A 6th sem. Among Girls category Ansoya Devi, B.A 1st sem, Shilpa Devi B.A 1st sem and Anu Devi B.A 1st Sem were the first three winners, respectively. Consolation prizes & certificates were also distributed among all the participants.

In his address, the Principal applauded the effort of the Sports Committee of the college for holding the event successful. He also appreciated the students for their participation.

The proceedings of the program were conducted by Prof. Vijay Kumar HOD Urdu and Prof. Vickey Rattan presented vote of thanks especially to the District Police and Health Department for extending full support in organizing this event successfully.
