Gift to the readers of the Scientific Library of PetrSU

The chief editor of the Ostrova publishing house, a graduate of PetrSU, honored journalist of the Republic of Karelia Yuri Viktorovich Shleikin presented the book “Karelia. Eternal and New ”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Republic of Karelia.
The book is a richly illustrated art album. It includes hundreds of illustrations: photographs, paintings and graphic works, maps, book and magazine covers. Illustrations and short texts by historians, writers and journalists vividly show the life of the northern region from ancient times to the present.

Among the many materials, the book contains information and photographs about Petrozavodsk State University: photographs of students, rectors and teachers, members of the Sampo tourist club, programmers’ competitions, the Academic Choir of PetrSU.
