Girls outshine boys in Class XII exam
Aligarh : Girls outshined Boys in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination Part-II (Class XII) examinations results of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) released today.
As per the result declared by the Office of the Controller of Examinations, in the combined merit list, Anasab Atiq topped the examinations scoring 492 out of 500 marks.
Aarchi Gupta, Ayesha Nishat, Gunika Varshney and Utkarsh Yadav stood second in the results with report cards of 491 out of 500 marks.
Alfiya Irfan Khan, Seemab Zareen and Shahan Usmani shared the third rank with 490 out of 500 marks.
Anasab Atiq was also declared the topper in science stream with Aarchi Gupta, Ayesha Nishat, Gunika Varshney and Utkarsh Yadav jointly securing the second position. Alfiya Irfan Khan, Seemab Zareen and Shahan Usmani shared the third rank in the science stream.
In the Humanities stream, Yashasvi Singh topped the results with 484 marks out of 500. Ghanshyam Gupta with 483 marks stood second while Madeeha Fatima and Sheikh Mohammad Haris with 482 marks shared the third rank.
Ayush Varshney with 489 marks topped the Commerce stream merit list followed by Arisha Khan with 488 marks and Kapil Sharma with 484 marks stood second and third respectively.
A total of 2747 students appeared with 2743 students passing the exam.
Controller of Examinations, Dr. M U Zuberi, while declaring the result informed: “1564 boys and 1183 girls appeared for the examination, amongst them 1561 boys and 1182 girls have passed the exam”.
Appreciating the performance of students, AMU Vice Chancellor Prof Tariq Mansoor lauded their efforts and appreciated the hard work of their teachers.
He has also wished them success for future endeavours.
