Govt educational institutions celebrate Independence Day
Jammu: Government Degree College, Marh celebrated the Independence Day where National Flag was unfurled by the Principal of the College, Prof. Aekta Gupta, followed by recital of National Anthem by attendees and the students of the college who witnessed the ceremony online.
The Principal conveyed her greetings and good wishes to all the Indians and briefed that this festival of Independence Day instills a sense of pride, harmony, loyalty, and patriotism towards the country among all Indians and reminds all of us our duties for our country. Further, she added that this festival of Nationalism reminds the sacrifices of the freedom fighters of the country, who had categorically dedicated their lives to liberate the country from the clutches of British rulers after many years of slavery.
Present on the occasion, among others, were Guest of Honour Sukhnandan Kumar Choudhary, Ex-Minister, Assistant Prof, Ram Dayal, Assistant Prof, Satish Kumar, Dr Amarjeet Singh, Er Samit Gupta, Kewal Krishan, Rachhpal Lal, Babli, Parshotam Lal Sharma, Sarpanch, Panchayat Dhateryal.
Similarly, Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu celebrated the Day with great enthusiasm under the leadership of Dr. Aditi Sher, Medical Superintendent.
Dr. Mohan Singh, Director ISM J&K was the Chief Guest. The celebration began with Flag Hoisting and National Anthem sung by faculty members & Staff of the Ayurvedic Hospital.
The other guests included Dr. Rohit Gupta, Deputy Director, ISM Jammu, Dr. Rakesh Raina, Assistant Director (Hq.) Directorate of ISM, Dr. Suresh Kumar, ADMO Jammu, Dr. Narinder Sharma, Nodal Officer, GAMC Jammu & Dr. Taran Singh Ex Medical Superintendent, GAH Jammu.
Meanwhile, 74th Independence Day was celebrated at Government Higher Secondary School Channi Himmat Jammu where the Principal of the School, Shahnaz Choudhary, hoisted the National Flag.
