Govt PG College Bhaderwah takes out Cyber Jaagrookta Rally

BHADARWAH : Government PG College Bhaderwah, in collaboration with its NCC and NSS units organized a Cyber Jaagrookta here on Saturday under the initiative of Government of India scheme “Indian Cyber Crime Co-ordination Centre (14C) Department of Computer Science.”

The rally passed through different areas of Bhadarwah township covering New bus stand, link road and culminated at historical Seri Bazaar.

The students interacted with shopkeepers and other public and informed them about Cyber crimes and on line frauds. The students also chanted slogans related to Cyber Jaagrookta like, “Keep your password secret and strong”, “Don’t share OTP to strangers”, “Change your passwords regularly” etc.

Earlier, welcome address was presented by HOD Computer Sciences Prof. Arjun Kotwal.

The rally was spearheaded by Prof. Tariq Bhat from the department of Computer Sciences.

The programme ended with a formal vote of thanks by Prof. Vijay Kumar of Department of Computer Science.
