Govt renames LAWDA as J&K Lake Conservation And Management Authority

JAMMU : The Government today re-named the Lakes And Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) as Jammu and Kashmir Lake Conservation and Management Authority (LCMA).

As per a notification issued by the Housing and Urban Development Department, the government has renamed the Authority in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Jammu and Kashmir Development Act, 1970 (Act XIX of 1970) for all purposes of the said Act.
