Sustained adherence to CAB, SOPs shall prevent Covid-19 spread

 

BUDGAM : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today said that the sustained adherence to Covid-19 Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) and SOPs besides getting vaccinated shall prevent spread of Covid-19 infection.

The DC said this during his routine press briefing about COVID-19 status in the district besides containment and mitigation measures taken.

He said that at present there are 137 Covid-19 active cases in the district besides the positivity rate is at 0.5 percent while recovery rate is stagnant at 99 percent.

The DC said that timely intervention and proactive measures enables us to derail the emergence of new positive cases, however constant vigil is still the need of the hour.

He said simultaneously all are requested to follow and adhere to all guidelines and Covid-19 SOPs. Full vaccination of all above the age of 18 years is crucial to avert looming threat of 3rd Wave of Covid-19.
