Home science students carry out study tours

ALIGARH: The final year undergraduate students of the Department of Home Science, Aligarh Muslim University visited the Mother Teresa Missionaries of Charity Orphanage and Home for Mentally Retarded as part of their curriculum based activities.

The visiting students, guided by Sister Josiane Rose, interacted with the orphans and carried out a study of management of mentally retarded persons who are managed by the self-financed and non-governmental organization as part of their social service mission in the footsteps of Mother Teresa.

The Home Science students also paid a visit to the Ahmadi School for the Visually Challenged, Aligarh Muslim University and keenly observed the educational facilities available for the students and the issues they face in daily life.

Dr. Naila Rashid (Principal, Ahmadi School) welcomed the visiting students and provided them with educational details of visually challenged students.
