Honda India Foundation donates 30 water tankers to benefit 30 villages of Uklana (Haryana)

Uklana : Committed to positively impact the lives of people, Honda India Foundation (the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of all Honda group companies in India) supported 30 villages of Uklana (Haryana) with 30 water tankers.

 

Aiming to ease the problem of water scarcity of Uklana which lies in the semi-arid belt, HIF donated 30 water tankers, with a capacity of 5000 liters each. Supporting the lives of more than 15,000 households, these tankers will solve the problem of drinking water and sanitation of the people in Uklana.

 

To mark this contribution, a flag-off ceremony was conducted in the august presence of Shri Anoop Dhanak (Honorable Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Government of Haryana), Shri Rajender Litani (Chairman, Haryana Khadi and Gramodyog Board), Shri Ravinder Sharma (Tehsildar, Uklana) and Shri Satyaprakash Patil (Operating Head, Honda India Foundation) along with other dignitaries from the Government of Haryana and HIF.

Speaking on this initiative, Mr. Atsushi Ogata, Chairman, Honda India Foundation (HIF) said, “Honda India Foundation proactively aims to resolve issues that concern the masses. We at HIF are pleased to support the cause with these water tankers to facilitate the availability and accessibility of water in the region.
