Hyundai Motor India Foundation inaugurates Oxygen Generation plant at Utnoor Government Hospital in Adilabad district

 

Adilabad, December 25, 2021: Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., today inaugurated a 50 litre per minute (LPM) oxygen generation plant at the Government Hospital, Utnoor in Adilabad district of Telangana.

Mr. Upender Jadhav, Medical Superintendent of Utnoor Government Hospital along with HMIL officials were present at the inauguration ceremony.

The plant will address the oxygen requirement of close to 50 ICU beds in the hospital benefitting 100,000 patients. The medical oxygen will help treat the patients in need and will meet the demand of oxygen including COVID-19 and other related ailments.

Commenting on the inauguration of the oxygen plant, Mr. SS Kim, MD & CEO – Hyundai Motor India Ltd, said, “The ongoing pandemic cast a spotlight on being prepared for any eventuality. Under our global vision, Progress for Humanity, we have been supporting the medical fraternity and community to strengthen the health infrastructure. Availability of continuous supply of oxygen is essential for saving critical patients and hence we stepped forward to set up this facility and make it self-sufficient to meet any future demand.”
