I am overwhelmed to meet the Ladli Laxmi Yojana girls: Madhya Pradesh CM Chouhan
Bhopal : After the inauguration of the state-wide Poshan Mahotsav today, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan interacted with girl children and took part in the milk distribution programme. Milk was distributed especially in Anganwadis under the Gareeb Kalyan Saptah in the state. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that his meeting with the beneficiaries of Ladli Laxmi Yojana in this programme is pleasant. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the Ladli Laxmi Yojana was started about fifteen years ago. Meeting and interacting with girls who are availing the benefits of the scheme and are now moving to higher classes to acquire education, is a pleasant and memorable experience of my life. Today I am overwhelmed after meeting these girls. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan distributed certificates under the Yojana to Akshita, Anushka, Tejal, Surya, Vartika and other girls. He also spoke to them regarding their studies and career building. This programme took place at Ankur Vidyalaya campus in Swami Dayanand Nagar. Minister of Women and Child Development, Smt. Imarti Devi was also present in the programme. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan and Minister Smt. Imarti Devi fed the children with fragrant and nutritious milk with their own hands.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the idea of introducing the Ladli Laxmi Yojana came to his mind after seeing the status of girls and women in the society in 2005 when he became Chief Minister. . today its flourished. The birth of a girl child is celebrated in a family. Girls have been empowered due to the support extended to them for their better upbringing and education. Girls are becoming stronger. What else can be more happier than this.
Anganwadi centres should get voluntary support
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Anganwadi centres are functioning from the capital Bhopal to the villages of the state. These centres encourage young children along with providing them with pre-school education and nutritious food. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that to enable the Anganwadi centres of the state, efforts are continuously being made to build their own buildings, increase the attendance of children and provide better nutritious food. Voluntary support is also being invited by placing a matka or pot in the Anganwadi centres. Under this social responsibility, general public, government and non-government organizations can also provide financial aid, toys and nutritious food. Family celebrations such as birthdays, marriages, anniversaries etc. can be celebrated with anganwadi children by citizens.
Smile on the children’s faces made everyone happy
Children’s joy knew no bounds when Chief Minister Shri Chouhan reached Anganwadi centre no. 729 District Bhopal located at Ward-31 and distributed fragrant milk to them. The children’s delightful faces and natural smile made all the guests happy. Minister Smt. Imarti Devi, Principal Secretary Women and Child Development Shri Ashok Shah, Director Women and Child Development, Smt. Swati Meena, Collector Bhopal Shri Avinash Lavaniya, local citizens and public representatives were also present in the programme held at Ankur Vidyalaya.
