ICMR selects AMU BDS students for Short-Term Project

 

Aligarh : Saman Afaque and Ramsha Ehsan, second-year students of the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at the Dr Z A Dental College (ZADC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) have been selected for the coveted ICMR Short-Term Studentship Project-2022.

Saman Afaque will work on the project titled, ‘Does Free Provision of NRT Improve Rate of Quitting Smoking in Medical Students: A Prospective Study’ under the supervision of Dr Ghulam Sarwar Hashmi (Chairman, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) with Dr Tabishur Rahman as the co-supervisor and Ramsha Ehsan will work on ‘Evaluation of Prescription Pattern of Analgesics and Antimicrobial Agents and their Adverse Drug Reactions Reported from an Institutional Dental Hospital of North India’ under the supervision of Dr Md Kalim Ansari and co- supervision of Dr Sharique Alam.

“Projects like these are highly beneficial for undergraduate students to upgrade their skills”, said Dr Ghulam Sarwar Hashmi.
