IGP Jammu Zone chairs Crime review meeting at Doda
Doda: Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh today visited Doda to take stock of security situation, crime position and other allied Policing activities.
During the Visit, the IGP Jammu Zone was also accompanied by the DIG Doda Kishtwar Ramban Range, Abdul Jabbar.
At the outset, a guard of honour was presented to the IGP at District Police Lines Doda. Thereafter, a Crime review meeting was held by the IGP which was attended by all Police officers and SHOs of District Police Doda.
The under investigation cases of public importance were discussed threadbare with the supervisory officers/ SHOs. They were urged upon to make strenuous efforts to collect the evidences in under investigation cases and ensure quality investigation and their production in the court in stipulated time for Judicial determination.
In respect of under trail cases, the SHOs were directed to follow the same vigorously in the court, make efforts in getting the prosecution witnesses examined , so that desirable results of conviction are achieved.
The IGP and the DIG DKR Range expressed satisfaction on the overall performance of District Police Doda in the field of investigation and other area of policing.
After the meeting, the IGP held a joint interaction with members of various associations and religious committees viz Beupar Mandal, Transport Association, Sanatam Dharam Sabha and Seerat Committee.
While speaking on the occasion, the participants appreciated the efforts of Police in controlling crime, militancy and other crime related activities in the District.
The participants expressed concern over the fresh wave of COVID-19, which is quite alarming and urged the Police/Civil administration to start preparation for handling this challenging situation in the coming days.
The participant also highlighted the demand for the construction of Bus stand Doda, besides measures to resolve the issue of traffic congestion in Doda town.
