IIM Indore signs MoU with Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation
Bhopal : Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding with IIM Indore. IIM Indore Director Professor Shri Himanshu Rai and Principal Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Shri Sanjay Kumar Shukla signed the MoU.
Expressing happiness over the cooperation shared with the MoU, Principal Secretary Shri Shukla said that MPIDC is committed to make efforts for empowerment of industries in the state. It supports businesses through continuous policy based reforms so as to to achieve the goal of “Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh” of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The coordination with IIM Indore to jointly work on the effective efforts is a progressive step in this direction. He said that this partnership would effectively inspire the promotion of the current policy framework and other strategic inputs.
On this occasion, Professor Shri Rai said that in order to generate the spirit of ‘Atmanibhar Bharat’ it is important to develop Madhya Pradesh as an eco-system that supports and nurtures industries and businesses. For this, MSMEs and local businesses should be promoted. He said that this support will strengthen the framework which provides support and assistance to the industries, which will ease business and will create immense possibilities for the progress and prosperity of Madhya Pradesh.
The objective of the MoU is to conduct policy research on the current industrial policy framework of the Government of Madhya Pradesh, from which existing industrial projects can be assessed. It also focuses on re-evaluating the ‘Brand Madhya Pradesh’ and designing a strategic promotional campaign to establish it as a “self-sufficient and prosperous Madhya Pradesh”. IIM Indore will also conduct studies to evaluate the parameters of ease and convenience of doing business in the state and will conduct analysis and third-party verification of various schemes. The objective of this collaboration is to ensure all necessary advisory support and management consultancy for the global and national summit organized by the Government of Madhya Pradesh and find out how effective the industries of Madhya Pradesh government are for the users on various web-portals with the help of media analysis.
Under this MoU, which will be in force for three years, IIM Indore is planning to organize training sessions for the senior officers and personnel of M.P.I.D.C. Simultaneously, both the institutions together look forward to defining new areas of cooperation, which will prove beneficial for both sides.
