IIM Jammu to hold a 5-day Orientation Program for the incoming batch

Jammu: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu will be holding a holistic 5-day Orientation Program for the 3rd Batch of Ph.D. (2022-25), 7th Batch of MBA (2022-24), 2nd Batch of EMBA (2022-24), and for the 1st Batch of MBA (HA&HM) (2022-24) from 12th July to 16th July 2022. The Orientation Program will be held in offline mode with all necessary precautions against COVID-19, ensuring the safety of everyone. The idea associated with this Orientation Program is to acquaint the incoming students with the culture, academic opportunities, ethos, and general rules of IIM Jammu. The programme will help in facilitating a welcoming environment for the new aspiring students and their families to meet and have open communication with the faculty, staff, senior students, and all key activity heads of the Institute under one roof.
During the Orientation Program, each day will commence at 6:00 AM with ‘Maximize Happiness and Mindfulness’ sessions conducted by TBF, Yoga, and Meditation Trainer. It is imperative to build strength, awareness as well as harmony in both mind and body. The orientation program will also feature campus visits of the students to IIM Jammu’s state-of-the-art campus coming up at Jagti along with cultural programs by students of IIM Jammu.
The programme will be formally inaugurated on 12th July 2022. Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, will deliver the welcome address. Dr. Milind Kamble, Chairman, BoG, IIM Jammu, will preside over the function and deliver the presidential address. The Chief Guest, Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, will address the gathering. The event will be further graced by the presence of Guest of Honor, Shri. Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary, Government of J&K and Shri. Dilbagh Singh, DGP, Government of J&K. Prof. Manoj Singh Gaur, Director, IIT Jammu, and Prof. (Dr.) Shakti Gupta, Director, AIIMS Jammu, will also deliver their address.
Top bureaucrats, industry speakers, and corporate leaders, are also invited to address the new batch and motivate them for their academic journey at IIM Jammu, including Shri. Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, Chief Guest on the occasion will be delivering the valedictory address on the 5th Day of the Orientation Programme of IIM Jammu.
