IIM Trichy conducts the Valedictory Function for its First Post Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management (PGCSCM) Batch
Trichy: The Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli held the valedictory function for the First Batch of the Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Supply Chain Management (PGCSCM) on 27th November, 2021. The one-year program, held on Saturdays, is designed to enhance the capabilities of supply chain for working professionals to achieve performance excellence. The event began with a lamp lighting ceremony. Programme director Professor Gajanand M S provided a brief summary of the programme and mentioned about the simulation games, the guest lectures, and the industry project presentations conducted virtually. He handed over the virtual graduation certificates to the 74 successful participants of the program and announced the distribution of IIM Trichy program kits to the students.
The Chairperson of Executive Education and Consulting, Professor Prashant Gupta, congratulated the students for successfully completing the program during the pandemic and welcomed them to the alumni group of IIM Trichy. He also thanked the family members of the students for supporting them and invited the students for an offline meeting on campus when the pandemic subsides.
Following this, the head of Academic Relations and Learner Success – TIMES TSW, Dr. Nagendra V. Chowdary, addressed the event reminiscing the selection process and congratulating the students for successfully graduating from the program. He briefly spoke of the contribution of supply chain management in the pandemic situation and thanked the director and professors for the seamless experience.
The Director, Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh, addressed the audience. He congratulated the program directors, faculty members, and the entire PGCSCM batch for successfully concluding the program’s first-ever batch. He further reiterated the importance of supply chain management and learning through intriguing examples from The Ramayana and The Mahabharata.
Program director Prof. Gajanand M S announced the merit award winners from PGCSCM Batch 1 for their excellent academic performance. Mr. Krishnadas G secured the first rank followed by Ms. Debasmita Chakraborty, who secured second rank. Mr. Chiranth E received a Certificate of Merit for securing third rank.
Program director Prof. Sivakumar S proposed the vote of thanks. He heartily congratulated the medal winners and the 74 program students who completed the program and also expressed his gratitude to the Director, Chairperson of Executive Education and Consulting, program directors, faculty and staff members, IIM Trichy IT team, and the audience. He ended the address on an optimistic note emphasizing the institute’s desire to meet the students in-person when the pandemic subsides.
The function concluded with a recitation of the National Anthem.
