This conference and associated partnership build on previous and on-going work by Contact Base centred around the concept of `Entrepreneurship as a Social Movement` developed as part of a global R&D project on citizen engagement, Citizen Entrepreneurship` led by Professor Jay Mitra, Essex Business School, University of Essex, UK. The latest chapter of this project is based on the idea of developing a `Social Lab` focusing on cultural heritage and the creative economy with citizen artisans working with key public and private stakeholders to design, develop, demonstrate and deliver, entrepreneurial projects aimed at establishing a unique cultural heritage ecosystem in specific regions which deploys technology meaningfully and delivers social equity outcomes.

The Entrepreneurship as a Social Movement – Engaging Citizens with Institutions for Entrepreneurial Outcomes conference will be live streamed on 5th and 6th April 2023.
