Indian Film Director & Screenwriter Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra unveiled the Manav Rachna’s Alumni Book उत्कृष्ट- ‘Icons of Manav Rachna 2023’
उत्कृष्ट- “Icons of Manav Rachna 2023” was launched at Manav Rachna in the courteous presence of Sh. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Indian Film Director and Screenwriter. This second edition inscribes the 26 transformational stories of our alumni who achieved benchmark in their arenas. Sh. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, as the Chief Guest, unveiled the book in the august company of Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI); Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, MD, MREI; and other senior dignitaries from Manav Rachna, students, teachers, and families of our cherished alumni.
The book launch moment was filled with zeal and a spectrum of nostalgic emotions. With never-ending waves of enthusiasm, the auditorium echoed with applause as Sh. Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra and other dignitaries unveiled the book. The book celebrates the exceptional performance and outstanding geniuses who have brought about revolutionary advancements in their respective fields. It also attempts to transcribe alumni’s stories across various categories- Art and Glamour, Entrepreneurship, Government and Administration, Industry Barons, and Sports.
The book narrates the story of distinguished alumni across these categories, including Gunjan Kanwar, Miss Uttarakhand 2022; Captain Nitika Kaul, Indian Army; Arjuna Awardee, Ankur Mittal, Indian Olympic Shooter; Tanishqa Chauhan, Pilot, Indigo Airlines; Karan Bhatia, VP, Goldmann Sachs, USA; Sanjana Sood, Skeet Shooting Champion and many others.
A scintillating acrobatic performance was given by Mr. Rahul Yadav, proud alumnus of Manav Rachna and his warrior squad during the ceremony. It is noteworthy that the Warrior Squad by Manav Rachna Alumni has been the fame of India’s Got Talent Season 9 and is all set to perform at the America’s Got Talent Season 18.
Reminiscing about his long association with Manav Rachna, Shri Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra said, “Manav Rachna is rightly taken the vision of its founder to accomplishment. Whenever I have interacted with the people at Manav Rachna, I am assured of the values being inculcated in its students. He shared that “the ‘only ingredient of success’ is failure”. He said, “Don’t be harsh on yourself and give yourself space to accept failure. Your biggest challenge is YOU, YOURSELF. Once you are able to settle with it, you will clear the pathway to success.”
Dr. Prashant Bhalla shared how alumni of Manav Rachna have been taking their institution to towering heights. He said, “In the last 26 years, Manav Rachna never stopped envisioning and inculcating key values and industry relevant skills in its students. Witnessing our alumni as the flagbearers of the brand, I cannot help but be proud of the utmost diligence and tenacity with which you have pursued your objectives.”
Dr Gauri Bhasin shared, “Through ‘Utkrisht: Icons of Manav Rachna’, we celebrate the majestic achievements of our alumni who with their untiring efforts have paid great dividends not only to the community but have also escalated the prestige of Manav Rachna around the globe. The book narrates the success stories of their grit, determination, discipline and triumph ranging across the genre of art, sports, glamour, government services, community service, and industry. This is a proud moment when we get to applaud the remarkable accomplishments of our cherished alumni.”
