Inter-School Painting Competition Held under G-20 Series of Events

Aligarh: Momim Mustafa of AMU ABK School and Ayan of Abdullah School won the first and second prize respectively, while Rahul Kumar of STS School and Rizwan Khan of RMPS AMU City School shared the third prize in the inter-school painting competition that was organised by Abdullah School, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) as a part of G-20 events. Yusra Naushad bagged the consolation prize.

Prof Asfar Ali Khan, Director of School Education, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) motivated the students and appreciated their creative skills.

Deputy Director of school education, AMU, Prof Shaista Afroz judged the painting competition along with Ms Shama Parveen and appreciated the presentations by tiny tots.

Mr. Faisal Nafees and Ms Amna Malik (Coordinators, G-20 events) and Dr. Samina, Principal, AMU ABK High School (Boys) also graced the occasion.

A group of tiny tots of 2nd and 3rd standard displayed the names and flags of all the 20 members of G-20 Summit reminding the theme of ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’.

Earlier, Ms Umra Zaheer, Superintendent of Abdullah School welcomed the guests and presented mementos to them.

“The theme of G-20 ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’ is a timely reminder of our shared responsibility to take care of our planet and each other regardless of our differences” she said.

Mr. Mohd Merajuddin Nadwi conducted the programme, while Ms Lubna Imtiaz, school coordinator (G-20 events) proposed a vote of thanks.
