IPE Global and AISECT collaborates with the AWS re/Start program to provide free cloud skills training to women in Rajasthan
Bengaluru: IPE Global and AISECT have entered into a collaboration with Amazon Internet Services Private Limited (AISPL) to help underemployed or unemployed women launch their career in cloud computing technology in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The AWS re/Start program is a 12-week, in-person, skills-based training program that covers fundamental AWS Cloud skills as well as practical career skills, such as interviewing and resume writing, to help prepare individuals for an entry-level cloud position. The program will provide training and employment opportunities to women from economically weaker backgrounds in Rajasthan. The cohorts, which will be taught by AISECT instructors, will start in the first week of April.
This program will be offered at no cost to the learners, and previous technology experience is not required to apply. Through scenario-based exercises, hands-on labs, and coursework, students will learn to build programming language (Linux and Python), networking, security and relational database skills etc. Ultimately, the program will prepare participants for an entry-level cloud role in the areas such as operations, site reliability, and infrastructure support.
Through the AWS re/Start program, IPE Global is excited to help individuals develop in-demand cloud skills and prepare them for jobs. Speaking about the initiative, M.K. Padmakumar, COO, IPE Global said, “Cloud computing is a key 21st-century technological innovation. The accelerated pace of digital innovation due to the pandemic has led to a steadfast cloud adoption among businesses, allowing them to more effectively innovate. This program will help women to move beyond traditional roles and make them an integral part of Industry 4.0.”
“The scarcity of experienced cloud talent is a major concern for our AWS Partners and customers, and hiring the necessary talent continues to pose a real challenge to the industry. Through our cloud training and education programs, we are preparing diverse learners for in-demand, entry-level cloud roles around the world. With AWS re/Start, we are re-inventing how talent is cultivated, trained, and retained, and helping to build a pipeline of cloud talent for the future.” said Amit Mehta, Head of AWS Training and Certification, AISPL.
The program also prepares and covers the cost for participants to take the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Certification exam, which can validate their cloud skills with an industry-recognized credential.
The AWS re/Start is a global program delivered in 39 countries and connects more than 90% of graduates with job interview opportunities. IPE Global will work with AISECT to facilitate placement for the program graduates in India.
