JN Medical College in collaboration with MAC Foundation, launched a Cancer Awareness campaign

Aligarh: The Department of Radiotherapy, JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, in collaboration with MAC Foundation, launched a Cancer Awareness campaign to mark the World Cancer Day.

During the launching programme, cancer patients, admitted at the JNMC Hospital were provided with psychological counseling and food packets were also distributed to them and their family members.

In his address, Prof Shahid Ali Siddiqui (Principal & CMS, JNMC) said that Cancer cases are diagnosed easily these days because of great developments in cancer-specific screening system and thankfully doctors are able to save many patients diagnosed with cancer in early stages. He said that like many life-threatening medical conditions, early diagnosis can increase the likelihood of curing the disease and patients going on to live a longer life.

The volunteers of MAC foundation, nursing staff and doctors conducted awareness programmes through poster presentation and distributed pamphlets. On the occasion, a quiz competition was also held in which the doctors and nursing staff participated with zeal.

Dr Akram (Chairman, Dept of Radiotherapy), Dr Shadab, Dr Mohsin, Dr Amaan, Mr Bilal, Mr Osama and Mr Adil were present on the occasion.
