New Delhi: Kalinga Literary Festival is an unparalleled global literary platform that emerged from Bhubaneswar, an emerging city from eastern India. KLF has awarded hundreds of young and emerging literary icons of Odisha with an intention to create a platform for the youth and connect them to national and global movements in literature, arts, and culture. Now the festival has produced several other popular platforms like Mystic Kalinga Festival, KLF Arts Festival, KLF Corner, and most recently the hugely innovative and appreciated KLF Bhava Samvad.
KLF was started in 2014 by a few starry-eyed literature enthusiasts, journalists, and volunteers who wanted to celebrate the classical language status to Odia language and thereby to create a global platform where all languages, all kinds of literature and cultures meet, interact, learn and inspire. KLF was also the literary extension of the Odisha Diary and India Education Diary group which had already established hugely successful the Odisha Living Legend, Youth Inspirations and Odisha Inc Awards started in 2011. KLF has emerged as a preeminent global literary platform with a capacity to engage with global literary traditions.
Starting from July 2020, the KLF platform has embarked upon a crowdfunding journey to strengthen its current and future initiatives. KLF has planned global festivals in all continents, a publication and translation wing from 2020 and be an active partner in the global dialogue among people and civilizations.
