Kalinga Literary Festival: KLF Bhava Samvad hosted 3 sessions ‘Poetry Of Freedom’, ‘Rama, Ramayana, and Ram Rajya’, and ‘Writing For Adults vs Writing For Young Adults’
New Delhi: Kalinga Literary Festival organised three noteworthy webinars on 22nd and 23rd August, 2020 over the online developed platform ‘KLF Bhava Samvad’.
The sessions hosted exchange of intellect and ideas on ‘Poetry Of Freedom’, ‘Rama, Ramayana, and Ram Rajya’, and ‘Writing For Adults vs Writing For Young Adults’ with eminent literary figures Ashwani Kumar, Yashodhara Ray Chaudhuri, Meenakshi Jain, Koral Dasgupta, Sumedha Verma Ojha, Saiswaroopa Iyer, Vibha Batra.
On ‘Poetry Of Freedom’ Yashodhara Ray Chaudhuri stated that writing a love poem in the time of curfew itself is a protest. Its a battle within self with emotions and outward circumstances. Adding to it Ashwani Kumar said that pandemic has given birth to a new genre called ‘lockdown literature’ which has to play a bigger role in forthcoming time.
Speaking about contemporary writing and literature author Vibha Batra said about one of her upcoming graphic fictional novel on a sixteen year old girl who becomes an overnight online session and how the fame eventually affects her emotional and mental health. She further adds that literature serves different purpose for people of different age groups.
The highlight of the session over Ram was about Ram as a ‘metaphor’ above the regard of God and virtuous human incarnation of lord Vishnu.
KLF Bhava Samvad is a small step to regenerate the literary spirit at the time of disillusionment and new normal.
