Kapil Sharma saluted the extraordinary work of COVID crusaders on RISE INDIA Awards
One of the largest and most awarded private radio networks in India, 93.5 RED FM & Music Plus recognized the selfless efforts of COVID crusaders at their one of a kind initiative ‘RISE INDIA Awards’. During the fourth episode of the awards show, RJ Malishka invited comedian, actor and television presenter Kapil Sharma to talk about the COVID warriors who are doing some exceptional work. While he was overwhelmed to be a part of RISE INDIA Awards, he also announced that he would like to host these real-life crusaders on his show post the lockdown.
During a conversation with RJ Malishka, Kapil Sharma appreciated the relentless efforts of the COVID crusaders. While he lauded the struggles of the police during the pandemic, he also expressed his emotional connect with reference to his father’s association with the police department. He also brought to notice the tragic accident that took place in Punjab, where SI Harjeet Singh lost his hand while at service. He also recalled the heart felt gesture by Ayub Sheikh who is a farmer from Paithan, Aurangabad who helped his needy neighbors by providing them with 2500 Kgs of wheat grains during the lockdown.
Kapil Sharma also gave a special mention to the media fraternity including RED FM who put their lives at risk to provide authentic information and entertainment to people during the pandemic. Celebrating and saluting their courage and bravery, the talented comedian who is also a great singer dedicated the song ‘Jeena issi ka naam hai‘to the COVID Crusaders. While the pandemic has made us realize the importance of such crusaders, Kapil Sharma requested the viewers to remain calm, patient and support each other during these challenging times.
