Bhubaneswar: In a significant achievement, KiiT International School (KiiT-IS) has bagged the Educomp – NDTV Education Award at the national-level. Mr. Sanjay Suar, Principal of the School received the award at a glittering presentation ceremony held in Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi on February 15, 2017. KiiT International School is the only school from Odisha to figure in the list of national-level winners, which also has reputed names such as Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai; Shishuvan English Medium School, Matunga, Mumbai; Assam Valley, Assam; The Doon School, Dehradun and Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School, Thane.
The selection of winners was based on various parameters including curriculum planning, staff training, infrastructure, sports and co-curricular activities. National level winners were decided by a high-level jury after evaluating the regional round winners from east, west, south and north zone.
KiiT International School, established in 2007, offers CBSE Secondary & Senior Secondary, as national curriculum, and International Baccalaureate (IB), Geneva and International General Certificate of Secondary Education of University of Cambridge (IGCSE), as international curricula. Despite being a young institution, KiiT-IS has attracted attention of one and all due to its excellence and won a string of recognitions at national level recently.
