Kishtwar admin gears up for 2nd edition of ‘My Town My Pride’ outreach program

KISHTWAR : To discuss the arrangements for the smooth conduct of the second edition of “My Town My Pride” program in the district, Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav today convened marathon meetings with Officers of Line Department and Councillors of Municipal Council Kishtwar.

During the meeting with Officers, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the preparations being made by different line departments. He asked the officers of all the departments to participate and make the two day drive a people friendly and impressionable event.

He informed that Melas will be organised at designated locations of the town where each department will put up a stall to spread awareness among people regarding various welfare schemes.

The DC said that all the line departments will depute senior officers for the two day Urban outreach programme.

He said that Visiting Officers, along with other officers would inspect the ongoing works taken up by different departments.

During the meeting with the Councillors of MC Kishtwar, the DC asked them to co-operate and co-ordinate with line Departments to make this program successful.

Besides, it was informed in the meeting that “Cleanest Ward Competition” under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan shall be conducted by District Administration in collaboration with Municipal Council Kishtwar.

The DC Kishtwar urged the Councillors to sensitise and involve the people of their respective wards in MTMP activities to reap the benefit from the outreach programme.
