KMOU: Cooperation with Donghae City to ‘develop human resources and discover specialized regional projects’ through a business agreement


KMOU university announced on the 5th that it has signed a business agreement with Donghae City for the purpose of nurturing maritime talent and discovering new growth engines suitable for regional characteristics .



The business agreement ceremony held at Donghae City Hall on the 30th of last month was attended by key officials from both institutions, including President Do Do-hee Do and Donghae Mayor Shim Kyu-eon .



In accordance with the agreement, the two organizations establish a mutual cooperation system and cooperate in the overall development of the maritime sector, including maritime transportation, ports , logistics , tourism and leisure, and marine healing, including talent development .



In particular , ▲ operating career education programs ▲ discovering and fostering regionally specialized projects such as marine tourism and leisure projects and attracting marine healing centers ▲ discovering future food industries utilizing marine and fishery resources ▲ establishing a cooperative system with marine institutions and companies in Donghae City .



With this agreement , it is expected that projects that make use of regional characteristics will be discovered and promoted in Donghae City, which is blessed with natural scenery , and that even competitive talents will be nurtured through Korea Maritime University’s excellent curriculum . In addition, it is expected that economic growth will be achieved through the discovery of future food industries .



“ With this agreement as an opportunity, we will nurture talents in the maritime sector and promote the development of related industries through various projects, ” said President Doh Do- hee. “ We will continue to establish a close mutual cooperation system with Donghae City . ”
