KMOU partners with Korea Pilot Association
KMOU university signs a business agreement with the Korea Pilot Association ( President Cho Yong-hwa ) and cooperates with each other to secure maritime talent.
The business agreement ceremony held at the Korea Pilot Association on the 3rd was attended by key officials from both organizations, including President Do Do-Hee Do and Cho Yong-Hwa, Chairman of the Korea Pilot Association .
According to the agreement, the two organizations will work together to plan and participate in joint programs , mutually share related information and domestic and foreign networks , including cooperation for overseas establishment of maritime talent training institutions .
President Do Do-hee said , “ Shipping is responsible for 99.7% of Korea’s import and export volume , so it is directly related to industrial security . ”
Our university is a university that plays a pivotal role in all areas of the maritime industry, which accounts for around 15% of Korea’s total exports.
In particular, its role has become more important for the realization of a new maritime powerhouse, one of the core policies of the current government, and the expansion of the scale of the maritime industry . In order to fulfill that role, the need to nurture global maritime talent was raised by the industry , and this agreement was reached .
