Korea Maritime & Ocean University holds Teaching and Learning Development Center’s performance sharing event
The Center for Teaching and Learning Development ( President Hong Hyo-jeong ) held the ‘2022 KMOU Center for Teaching and Learning Development Performance Sharing ‘ to advance the operation of the Center for Teaching and Learning Development .
This event, which was held on the 7th at Room 201 of the University Industry-University Hub Hall, was attended by about 60 people, including professors in key positions in the university , excellent participating teachers and students of the Center for Teaching and Learning Development , and related faculty and staff .
The event, which started with an opening address by Hong Hyo-jeong, director of the Center for Teaching and Learning Development, proceeded in the following order: ▲ 2022 performance report ▲ Ceremony for excellent participants in the Center for Teaching and Learning Development ▲ Encouragement speech by the president ▲ Relocation ceremony of the Center for Teaching and Learning Development .
The event was centered on the 2022 school year’s operational performance and discovery of best practices .
In the performance report, the faculty competency support team, the student competency support team, and the distance education support center introduced the overall work performed to strengthen teaching – learning capabilities for the year 2022 .
At the awards ceremony, Professor Park Jin-hee of the School of Logistics , Environment , and Urban Infrastructure Engineering and Professor Choi Jin-cheol of the School of Nautical Convergence were selected as outstanding participating teachers , and three students were also selected as outstanding participating students .
In addition, the Center for Teaching and Learning Development, which relocated the working space, also held a signboard unveiling ceremony on this day . The Center for Teaching and Learning Development, which was initially located in the General Research Center, recently moved to the Industry-University Hub Building .
The relocation of such a space is expected to lead to the spread of consumer awareness .
In addition , it is expected to create a high-quality educational environment by using improved facilities as it is equipped with teaching , learning , and distance education support spaces and Hyflex comprehensive studios . Hi-Flex is a combination of hybrid and flexible , and refers to a space in the form of a multi-system that can implement face-to-face and non-face-to-face lectures at the same time .
The unveiling ceremony of the signboard was attended by three people , led by President Doh Do-hee, key professors , Director Hyo-Jeong Hong , Head of Center for Teaching and Learning Development , Hyeong -Soo Park, and Team Leader Jong-Ho Yoo .
“ The Center for Teaching and Learning Development is supporting user-centered teaching and learning programs to realize the vision and educational goals that universities aim for in line with the rapidly changing educational environment,” said President Doh Doh .
