Korea Maritime & Ocean University Hosts National University Promotion Project Performance Sharing Workshop

From the 12th to the 13th , 「 SMART KMOU Sharing Workshop Leading the Marine 4.0 Era 」was held in Gyeongju to share the results of the national university fostering project .



The National University Fostering Project is a project supported by the Ministry of Education with the goal of strengthening the public role of national universities and leading regional coexistence and balanced national development as a base for regional education, research , and innovation .



This workshop was prepared to review the past achievements of the 1st cycle national university fostering project and set a direction for sustainable development that fits the characteristics of the university .



The event was held with a total of about 60 people from departments related to the national university development project in attendance .



Starting with the opening ceremony by Director of Planning and Planning, Geun-Young Do, the event was centered around the sharing of best practices and awarding of national university fostering projects in the 1st to 5th years ( 2018-2022 ) .



In particular, ▲ Comprehensive performance of the national university fostering project ▲ Contribution to the local community – Living lab and alley environment improvement project to create regional revitalization base facilities ▲ University cooperation network – Shared university summer sports curriculum ▲ Expansion of higher education opportunities – Youth maritime career experience Program development ▲ Establishment of specialized strategies and development models – Presentations on the creative and convergence maritime expert training project followed . Presentations were made by officials from each project management department, including Professor Kwang -Seok Oh , Professor Seong -Ho Park , Team Leader Mo Soo-Jong, and Team Leader Lee Geun .



In addition, at the workshop, in-depth discussions were held on the promotion direction of the 2nd cycle national university promotion project as well as the sharing of publicity results of the national university promotion project .



Do Geun-young, head of the planning department , said , “ The national university fostering project has contributed a lot to overall development, including the enhancement of university education . ”



Meanwhile, our university has obtained the highest ‘A’ grade in the comprehensive evaluation of the 2022 National University Development Project .
