Labour Department Rajouri organises Awareness cum workers’ Registration camp

RAJOURI : To disseminate information among the workers of the district regarding different schemes implemented by it, the Labour Department Rajouri today organised a series of awareness cum workers’ registration camps on e-Shram.

The workers of unorganized sectors including construction workers, migrant workers, domestic workers, street vendors, drivers, fishermen, agricultural workers, if registered on E-Shram become eligible for Insurance Coverage under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana(PMSBY) for 365 days.

The Camps were organised on the directions of the District Development Commissioner, Rajesh Kumar Shava at various construction sites.

A large number of labourers participated in the awareness camps cum registrations.

Speaking on the occasion, the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Meenisha made them aware about the scheme. She appealed to the construction workers associated with MGNREGA,BRO and those working with other private, unorganised sectors and Government construction agencies to get themselves enrolled with the labour department and avail the benefits being provided by the department for their welfare under the said scheme.
