This year, LEAD Championships 2020 will have two categories – National English Championship and National Science Championship – which will provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate skills such as speaking, reading and listening comprehension, and application of their science-based concepts.

The competition allows students to participate either as an individual or as teams. Over 25000+ students from 800+ schools are expected to participate in the championship this year.

While the National English Championship will focus on storytelling, elocution, vocabulary quiz; the National Science Championship will help students build science projects and take part in science quiz. Both the Championships will be conducted at four levels – intraschool, regional, zonal and national level.

LEAD School Co-founder and CEO Sumeet Mehta said, “LEAD School is committed to providing a 100% learning experience for students irrespective of whether schools are physically open or shut. COVID-19 has shown us the power of online learning and these championships are another way to make learning more fun for the children in a virtual environment. The National English Championship is also an extension of our flagship programme, English Learning and General Awareness (ELGA), and is a part of our endeavour to nurture children with receptive and productive skills such as listening, reading, speaking and writing. Whereas, the National Science Championship will ensure that students are able to enhance their logical thinking and decision-making skills through the projects they work on. Under LEAD Championships 2020, we also plan to introduce championships for Math and Hindi. I am confident that the Championship will hone the competitive skills of all the students.”

The winners of the two championships will take home exciting prizes ranging from laptops & tablets to music players & books in addition to the highly coveted LEAD Championship Trophy.
