Lecture held on changing nature of workspace

ALIGARH : Prof K M Baharul Islam, Chairperson, Centre for Public Policy and Government, Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur delivered a talk on “English Language and Literature: Changing Nature of Workspace” at the Department of English, Aligarh Muslim University.

Prof Islam focused on the changing dynamics of workspace communication relating to the importance of critical thinking skills, design thinking and AI. He advised students to go for re-skilling and up skilling opportunities in the light of new competitive market paradigms.

He stressed that in addition to the need for value, there are communication opportunities in the area of content writing, brand journalism and the related fields.

Welcoming the guest speaker, Prof. Mohammad Asim Siddiqui, Chairman of the department said that Prof Islam, an alumnus of the Department of English, is a development communication specialist who has been working for more than twenty-five years in the areas of communication, development, public policy and governance. He is also a Visiting Professor at the London School of Economics, UK.
